"Beautifully broken, perfectly imperfect" a beautiful piece of art which adorns Candace's body and serves as a reminder of how beautiful and strong she is after everything she's gone through. She's been through close to thirty surgeries/procedures including some reconstructive ones after her mastectomy. I cannot even begin to imagine what that would feel like. I just know that she is amazingly strong and I'm humbled and honored to meet women like her and every woman that I am honored to photograph as we ALL have a story. A beautiful one. Yes, you reading this as well. You may not realize it, but you do.
Broken or not, in pieces or whole, we are beautiful.
